Easy day today.  Drove to the Sacramento 49er Travel Plaza in Sacramento, California this morning.  Will be here until Monday.  We have to go to the job site in San Francisco at night so we will leave here at about midnight Monday morning.

Left Wendover this morning and drove to the Petro truck stop in Sparks, Nevada.  That is right next to Reno.  Did four loads of laundry when we got here.  Tomorrow we will go into California to the Sacramento 49er Travel Plaza.

Left at sunrise this morning.  Had a few places today that were very narrow due to bridge construction.  "Jersey" wall on the left and guard rail on the right.  Went through those areas with less than 6 inches on either side of my load.  I love a challenge.  Lots of pronghorn elk out today.  They were all over the place in Wyoming.

Then into Utah.  Went past the Olympic village and ski jump again east of Salt Lake City.

Made it through Salt Lake City with no problems.  Then out past the Bonneville Salt Flats and into Nevada.  Stopped for the night at the Pilot truck stop in Wendover, Nevada.

Left this morning and made our way through Nebraska.  The State had us going all over the place.  Saw a LOT of deer.  My escort car almost hit one.  Saw some elk too.  Passed Carhenge today.  Click here for more information on it.  I have seen it on Several TV shows.  Most recently, Arial America - Nebraska on the Smithsonian Channel.

Finally made it into Wyoming.  Drove through a thunderstorm with high wind, heavy rain, and some hail.  Stopped for the night at the TA truck stop in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Left Iowa 80 this morning and made our way into Nebraska.  Here is a partial map of our trip through Nebraska.  An extra 200 miles in total.

Left a little after sunrise this morning.  Had a few detours in Indiana. Had a rear escort car in Indiana.

When we got to Illinois everyone's rear escort dropped off and we continued on.  Illinois gave us a few detours too.

We stopped for the night at the Iowa 80 Truck Stop in Walcott, Iowa.
