Left Denmark, TN early this morning and drove to Jonesborough, TN and picked up the last load for this trip.  A brand new New Holland tractor.  It is going up to Maine also.

On the way I passed the Petro that was wiped out by the tornado.  I posted photos of it last time I passed it.  Last time it was the day after the tornado hit.  It is closed now (obviously) and they have cleaned up and removed all the blown around trucks.  They are starting to rebuild it now.

Stopped for the night at White's Travel Center truck stop in Raphine, VA.

Left Dallas this morning and drove up to Byahlia, Mississippi.  That is just south of Memphis.  Picked up another load to take up to the north east.  This one is going to Bloomfield, Connecticut and delivers to a Home Depot on Wednesday.

After that drove up to the TA truck stop in Denmark, Tennessee for the night.

Got on the road early this morning from Rayville, LA and drove in to Duncanville, TX (that's just south of Dallas) and delivered first thing this morning.  Then went down to Mabank, TX for my next load.  When I got there I had to wait to get loaded because the fork lift was broken.  They finally figured out another way to load me.  Picked up a 22,000 pound "compressor module".  It is going to Maine.  Now in English, it is a natural gas compressor that goes in a natural gas pipeline.  The pipe line that this is going into is one of the pipelines that supplies most of the east coast with natural gas.

After finishing up there I drove over to the TA at I-20 at exit 472 in Dallas.  Took a real shower, ate dinner and went to bed.  Will get an early start in the morning.

Left the crappy TA truck stop this morning and had a nice enjoyable day on the road.  Nothing exciting.  When I went over the Mississippi River today I saw a lot of flooding.  In the areas near the river the water level was 3/4 the way up the telephone poles.  Stopped for the night at the Pilot truck stop in Rayville, LA.

What a day!   Went into St. Petersburg this morning and delivered first thing.  After that drove up to Jacksonville for my next load.  Got there at 1 pm to pick up a load of vinyl fencing going to Texas.  They started loading my truck at 2 pm.  They finished and I strapped all of it except the last piece when they decided that the truck was not full enough and that they wanted to put more on.  The thermometer on my truck said that it was 117 degrees in that parking lot.  I believe it!!!  Black top parking lot and no shade.  I unstrapped everything and rolled up my straps.  They then unloaded everything off the truck and started over again.  When they finished and I re strapped everything I was not happy with the last few pieces so I had them take them off and re load them better.  I left there at 6:15 pm.

Drove to the TA truck stop at US 301 and I-10.  Went inside and ate a horrible dinner the took a shower in one of the worst showers I have ever been in.  To be brief, there was not enough room to even turn around in there.  Nothing to sit on except the toilet.  The sink was clogged.  AND there was no ventilation.  Going to go to sleep and hope tomorrow is better.
