 When I stopped the other day I was totally out of hours and could not move until I completed a reset. So I sat there until my 34 hours were up.  Glad they had a decent restaurant there.  This morning at about 1:30 AM EDT I left and drove to the home office in Carlisle, PA for the rest of the weekend.

 As soon as my 10 hours were up, I left.   Pushed it hard today.  Drove all the way to Rock Mount, Virginia, and delivered.  Just in time too.  Had 0 hours left on my clock for today.  The last part of the drive was the worst.  My permit had me go off the good road onto back roads that were narrow, hilly, and winding!!  They were so bad I didn't think I'd get out again.  Have no idea why they routed me that way. 

629 miles today.  Then went a couple miles up the road to a small truck stop.  While doing my post-trip inspection found a wiring mess underneath and a bunch of trailer lights were shorting out.   

Had road service come out to fix the mess.

I went to bed while he fixed the trailer.  Good night.  I'm exhausted!!!!

 Left a half hour before sunrise this morning.  Nothing interesting today.  Drove 555 miles to the TA truck stop in Denmark, Tennessee for the night.

 Left at 3 AM CDT and drove the rest of the way to Cypress, TX (Houston suburb) and loaded a Caterpillar D6 Dozer that is going to Rocky Mount, Virginia.  

I was loaded and ready to go at 7:30 CDT but had to wait on permits.  It seems that there are several of these machines going up there from here.  Daily, somehow, got things screwed up in their computer system and assigned the machine I was assigned to another driver also.  That really messed things up with the permits.  So I sat and waited for them to get things straightened out.  The other driver was also sitting here waiting to see what machine he was to load.  What a cluster!!!  They finally got it straight and I left at about 11:10 AM CDT.  Because of that I only drove 355 miles today.  Stopped for the night at the Pilot truck stop in Palestine, Texas.

 Left really early this morning and arrived in Odessa to deliver when they opened.  After delivering the wheel loader I went to the Love's truck stop in Midland, TX to wait for Daily to tell me where my next load was.  I took a nap.  A few hours later they called and had a load for me in Galveston, TX.  I started off that way.  In case you weren't sure how big Texas is, Galveston is a 9-hour drive from Odessa.  When I stopped for the night at the TA in San Antonio, they changed my load from Galveston to Cypress, Texas.  That's a little better.  I'm only about 3 hours away.  Drove 530 miles today.

 Left a little before sunrise this morning.  Another good and uneventful day on the road.  Drove 570 miles to the Flying J truck stop in Tye, Texas for the night.
