Another uneventful day driving in Texas.  Got on the road at 3am and drove down to Edinburg, TX for the rest of the weekend.  Deliver Monday a few miles from here in McAllen. Just a stones throw from the Mexican border.

Had more problems with the trailer lights so I took the trailer to a trailer repair shop and had them fixed (hopefully).  While that was being done I went over to Thermo King and had my APU serviced.  It was WAY overdue.  After I got the trailer back I drove up to Denver, NC and picked up my next load.  A bunch of shelves going to McAllen, Texas.

Then I drove down to Lincoln, Alabama to a truck stop just outside the Talladega Super Speedway.  Out of hours so I'll do a reset here.

Not too long after I updated the blog last night saying that it stopped raining, it started to snow.  Snowed all night but only about 2 inches of very wet snow.  Made a lot of slush in the parking lot.  When I got started it was still snowing.  I was about half way through Kansas.  It snowed very hard all the rest of the way through Kansas and all the way through Missouri.  There were cars spun out all over the place.  There was one on it's roof, several in the guard rail and the ditch, and one under the guard rail!  Made for an interesting drive.

Finally changed to rain in St. Louis.

Stopped for the night at a truck stop in Kuttawa, Kentucky after driving 605 miles.

Started off the day on I-80 in Wyoming. The interstate was very icy. Between Laramie and Cheyenne I-80 was closed. I took US-287 south which was 3 miles before the interstate closed.  Took that down to Fort Collins, Colorado. That is a short cut I use often. This time the road was pretty bad.  Snowing at night and in the fog through the mountains!  It just keeps getting better!!  I really LOVE a challenge!!

Almost as soon as I crossed into Colorado the weather and roads improved.  Really weird how that is!!

The rest of the drive through Colorado was clear.  About 100 miles before I stopped for the night in Kansas the snow started again. Snowed real hard for a little bit and then changed to rain.  Shortly after I stopped for the night in Junction City, Kansas it stopped raining.
