 This morning, I went to the Port of Brunswick, Georgia, and loaded a Caterpillar 320 Excavator.

Left there and took it to Albany, Georgia, and delivered it.  Stopped at the Love's truck stop in Albany for the night.

 I left a half hour before sunrise this morning and drove to Ocala and delivered the wheel loader.  Then drove back to the Daily terminal in Jacksonville.

 I left a half hour before sunrise this morning and drove to Ocala and delivered the wheel loader.  Then I drove back to the Port of Jacksonville and loaded a Caterpillar 966 Wheel Loader that is also going to Ocala.  

From there, I went to the Daily terminal in Jacksonville for the night.

 This morning, I went over to the Port of Jacksonville and loaded a Caterpillar 972 Wheel Loader that was going to Ocala, Florida.  

Left there and drove to Ocala and delivered the wheel loader.  Then went back to the Port of Jacksonville and loaded another Caterpillar 972 Wheel Loader that was going to Ocala, Florida, also.

Left there and went over to the Daily terminal in Jacksonville for the night.

 I left at midnight last night and drove down to Miami and delivered the wheel loader.  Turned around and drove right back to where I started from, the Daily terminal in Jacksonville.  718 miles today!!

 Last night I left at 11 PM EST.  Drove all night, stopping only once for fuel.  Drove 574 miles to the Daily terminal in Jacksonville, Florida, for the weekend.  I'll leave here Sunday night.

 I left at about 2 AM this morning.  Drove 592 uneventful miles to the Love's truck stop in Manchester, Tennessee for my 10 hours.

Wednesday, January 14, 2026

 I left this morning at 2 AM CST and drove to East Dundee, Illinois, and loaded (in the snow) an old Caterpillar 38G and some attachments for it.  It is going to Miami, Florida.

I stayed there for my 10 hours.  574 miles today.

 I left half an hour before sunrise this morning.  While driving through Missouri, not too far from Whiteman Air Force Base, one of the B2 bombers flew over me.  They are so cool!!!

I made it to Topeka, Kansas, and delivered the dozer.  From there, I went to the Love's truck stop in Tecumseh, Kansas, for my 10 hours. 480 miles today.

 I left early this morning and was at the Kansas City, Missouri, Caterpillar dealer and unloaded before they got to work.  When they got there, I got my paperwork signed and headed to Creve Couer, Illinois, for my next load.  I made it just in time!!  I was the last one they loaded there today.  Loaded a Caterpillar D6 Dozer that is going to Topeka, Kansas.

Since my permits don't start until tomorrow, I sneaked over to the Daily Terminal in Morton, Illinois, for the night. 461 miles today.

Saturday, January 10, 2026

 I left half an hour before sunrise this morning.  Drove through a weather front along the way.  Started off cloudy.  After a while, some light rain, then light rain/snow mix.  Then it stopped and cleared up.  By the time I stopped at the Petro truck stop in Oak  Grove, Missouri, it was clear, windy, and cold. 403 miles today.  I'll be here until Monday morning.  Will get a late start, can't go into Kansas City until 9 AM CST.

I left at sunrise this morning.  Drove nonstop to the Petro truck stop in Brazil, Indiana.  401 miles today.

 This morning I went to the Port of Baltimore in Dundalk, Maryland.  Delivered the parts load.  Then, I loaded a Caterpillar 320GC Excavator that is going to Kansas City, Missouri.

I left there and drove to the TA truck stop in Wheeling, West Virginia, for the night.

 I left Oakwood, Illinois, at about 2 AM.  Drove 632 miles today, stopping only once for fuel.  Ended the day at a truck stop in Hagerstown, Maryland.  Will deliver in the morning.

 I went over to Caterpillar for my 11:30 AM loading appointment.  When they looked at what I was supposed to get, they saw that there was no way to get 11 pieces on my trailer.  So Caterpillar Transportation had to get involved, and the load had to be made smaller.  Eventually, they got it figured out, and I got loaded with parts for a Caterpillar 995 Wheel Loader that are going to the Port of Baltimore. The largest part is the radiator.

I left there but didn't go very far.  Stopped for my 10 hours at the Pilot truck stop in Oakwood, Illinois.

 At about 3 AM I went and got the truck washed.  My next load is tomorrow in Decatur, Illinois.  Doesn't load until 11:30 AM.  At about 10 this morning, I left and drove down to the Pilot truck stop in Decatur for the night.

Friday, January 2, 2026

 I left at 3 AM EST this morning.  Drove to Fenton, Missouri, and delivered the excavator.  Don't have another load yet, so I headed for the most likely area to get one.  I went to the Iowa 80 truck stop in Walcott, Iowa.  That puts me in the middle of Caterpillar and John Deere. 577 miles today.   While doing my post-trip inspection, I found a hole with the cords showing in my right front tire.

I also found a coolant leak.  Had to add a half gallon of coolant.  There was coolant all over the back of the truck.

I checked in at the repair shop and waited for them to call me to bring the truck in to the shop.

At 5:15, they brought my truck into the shop to start working on it.  At 7:15 they were finished.
