 The terminal manager in Jacksonville said that he had a new driver bringing a Caterpillar 140 motor grader to the yard.  He asked me to help unload it when it got here, as the new driver didn't know how to operate it.  When he arrived, I saw that it was a used, older model.  I unloaded it for him, and since it was not a brand-new machine, I used the motor grader to smooth out our parking lot a bit before parking it.  Then I drove my truck up to the Port in Brunswick, Georgia, and loaded a Caterpillar 323 Excavator that is going to Macon, Georgia.

Check out this weight.  It doesn't get any better than this!!!!'

I left there and drove to the TA truck stop in Register, GA, for the night.

 I left at Midnight CDT and drove the rest of the way to Riverview, Florida.  The traffic in Riverview was horrendous!!!  After delivering, it took over an hour to drive the 9 miles back to I-75.  I could not live like that!!!!  When I finally made it out of there, I drove to the Jacksonville terminal.  My trailer is due for routine maintenance.

 I left at 11:30 PM CDT.  Had no traffic issues through Houston, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, or Mobile.  Drove 686 miles to the TA truck stop in Mariana, Florida, for my 10 hours.

I delivered the motor grader first thing this morning.  Drove to Elgin, Texas, and loaded a concrete pump that is going to Riverview, Florida.

I left there and drove to the Love's truck stop in Waller, Texas.  I didn't feel like driving through Houston in the daylight; too much traffic!!.  I'll go in 10 hours, at night.

 This should be another cakewalk today.  Just hope their defense improves.

I left at about 4 AM CDT.  In Dallas, they had I-635 shut down to work on one of the overpasses.  5 lanes to 1 and exit.  Then they dumped everyone off but had no signs to direct the traffic.  Had to figure it out by yourself on how to get back to I-635.  The whole mess took an hour.  After I got through that, I drove to where I deliver on Monday.  Parked outside the gate for the rest of the weekend.

Now it is time to settle in for some great SEC football!!!!

I left at about 3 AM  and drove to North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Loaded a Caterpillar 150 Motorgrader that is going to  Cleburne, Texas.  

Left there.  Southwest of Little Rock, drove through a thunderstorm and a lot of very heavy rain.  After a while, it cleared up.  I stopped for the rest of the day at the TA truck stop in Mt. Vernon, Texas. 514 miles today.

 In Mississippi, I could run at night, so I timed it so that I would get to Louisiana at sunrise this morning.  Because of that, I was able to make it all the way to Aubrey, Texas, and deliver the wheeled excavator.  Getting very low on hours, I went to the closest place to park, which was a small convenience store in Farmersville, TX, with a few truck parking spaces.  583 miles today.  Finished with only 20 minutes left on my clock.

 I left half an hour after sunrise this morning.  Had a very nice, uneventful day on the road.  Stopped at the TA truck stop in Meridian, Mississippi, for the night after driving 483 miles.  My back is a mess tonight.  All kinked up and very sore.  Hard to move.  Hope tomorrow it is better.

 This morning, after the Jacksonville curfew was over at 9 AM EDT, my pole car and I headed to the Port in Brunswick, Georgia.  Got there and delivered the De-Icer.  My next load was right there at the Port.  I loaded a Caterpillar M322 Wheeled Excavator that is going to Aubery, Texas.  

This heat really beats the life out of me!!!!   I left there and went over to the TA truck stop in Brunswick, Georgia, for the night and a long, cold shower.

 This morning, I loaded an Oshkosh De-Icer that has been sitting in our yard for over a month.  They finally got cleared to ship it.  I put it on the trailer.  Didn't secure it yet.  I'll do that tomorrow.

Tuesday morning, I'll take it to the Port in Brunswick, Georgia.

But now I'll settle in for week 1 of the college football season!!!   I wait all year for this!!!!!

 This morning, when the curfew was over at 9 AM EDT, we left and drove the rest of the way to West Palm Beach.  Delivered the diner.  They lifted it off the trailer with a crane.  Then they had to turn it and squeeze it in between two palm trees to get it to its resting place.  It was quite an operation.  

After that, I drove back to the Daily terminal in Jacksonville.

 I left the Jacksonville Terminal at 5 AM EDT and drove down to Ormond Beach to load a diner that is going to West Palm Beach, Florida.  I arrived at 6:30 AM EDT.  At about 10:00 AM, they had me back in and get everything ready to load.  I stretched the trailer to the appropriate length and waited.

They were finishing up shrink-wrapping the diner that I was transporting.

When they finished, they brought it outside and loaded it on my trailer.

I am 14 feet high, 100 feet long, and 16 feet wide.   Just to give you some perspective of how long I am, a full-size Greyhound bus is 45 feet long.   I am more than twice the length of a bus.  

My two pilot escort cars had been waiting all morning with me and were ready to go when I was.  We left at about 1 PM EDT with one car in front with a high pole and another following, and headed south along our permit route.   Had to stop at the weigh station in Palm City, Florida, for the night.  Couldn't drive past 4 PM EDT due to a Palm Beach curfew.  Can't start in the morning until 9 AM EDT because of the curfew.

 I was at the Port in Brunswick, Georgia, first thing this morning.  Loaded a Caterpillar 140 Motorgrader.  Had to jump-start it to get it running.  

I left there and drove to Statesboro, Georgia, and delivered it.  Then drove back to the Daily terminal in Jacksonville.  Dropped my trailer and picked up the one I went to Jessup to get the other day.  Then moved a bunch of my equipment over to it.  I'll need all of it for tomorrow's load.

 This morning I went to the Port in Brunswick, Georgia.  Loaded a Caterpillar D4 Dozer with the blade separate.

I left there and drove to Albany, Georgia, and delivered it.  Then drove back to the TA truck stop in Brunswick for the night.  I'll load again at the Port in the morning.

 Didn't do much today.  Went to another driver's home in Jesup, Georgia, got his trailer, and brought it back to the terminal in Jacksonville.  He is on vacation.  Will need it for a load Thursday.

 I left at 1 AM EDT.  Drove 573 miles to the TA truck stop in Richland Hills, Georgia.  Along the way stopped in Atlanta and got the truck washed.  Boy, it sure needed it!!!
