Still no loads available. There are four trucks sitting here waiting too. Not a good sign. Fixed a few minor things on the trailer today. Other than that, just waiting.

No loads available yet. The left tail light was out on my truck. Was unable to fix it myself so I had to go to Kenworth here in Jacksonville. Was there when they opened at 7 AM. Was there until after 1 PM while they fixed it. Boy!! are they slow!!!! Meanwhile back at the Daily yard, my trailer was being fixed. The trailer lights along the side quit working again!! They were fixed by the time I got back from Kenworth.

Because I was able to drive at night in Mississippi I was able to leave earlier that I normally would. I timed it so that I would get to the Mississippi / Alabama line right at a half hour before sunrise. Worked out real well. Because I was able to leave when I did, I was able to make it to Ocala and deliver the excavator today. Otherwise I would have had to wait until Monday. After delivering, I drove up to the Daily terminal in Jacksonville. Be here for the weekend. 604 miles today.

Left a half hour before sunrise this morning. For some reason Texas routed me right through the middle of downtown Houston. Of course, I got there at the height of rush hour. It took forever to get through Houston. LOTS of bumper to bumper traffic. Finally made it past the mess!! Drove to the Flying J truck stop in Gulfport, Mississippi for the night.

Not feeling real good again today. Horrible headache and upset stomach. A little vertigo too. But I went into the Port of Galveston first thing this morning anyway. Two cruise ships in port as I passed by. Carnival Dream and a Royal Caribbean ship that I didn't get the name of. Loaded a Caterpillar 336 Excavator that is going down to the Keen Yard in Victoria, Texas.
Left there and drove to Victoria and delivered the excavator. Was feeling a lot better by the end of the day. Stopped for the night at the TA truck stop in Ganado, TX. Took a very long hot shower and let the steam work it's magic. Tomorrow going back to the Port for another excavator.

Left just before sunrise this morning. In less than two miles I was stuck in bumper to bumper traffic caused by a crash up ahead. About 45 minutes later I was past the wreck and traffic was flowing normally. Made it down to San Antonio and delivered the dozer. Then went over to the TA truck stop in San Antonio for the night. Next load is Monday in Galveston, Texas. I'll head that way tomorrow.

We got about three inches of snow last night. When I woke up it was still snowing. Since I didn't have my Illinois permit yet and the roads were not cleaned up, I went back to sleep.
After about an hour my permits started coming in. I went over to Creve Core and loaded a Caterpillar D6 Dozer that is going to San Antonio, Texas.
Left there and drove down to the TA truck stop in Matthews, Missouri for the night.

Left at sunrise this morning. Still not feeling well. Very overcast, and fog at about the tree tops. Fortunately it stayed up there and visibility was fine. Didn't take long for the rain to start. Just past Champagne, Illinois the rain changed to snow. It didn't stick to the roads, which was a good thing. North of Bloomington, IL the snow stopped. Continued on to Deforest, Wisconsin and delivered the dump truck. Next load is back down in Creve Core, Illinois. I drove down to the Daily yard in Morton, IL. More snow on the way down. Still snowing here. 633 miles today. Good night.

Think I'm getting sick. Felt crappy yesterday. Still feel that way today. Got up real early and took a L-O-N-G hot shower. That helped a little. Left at sunrise this morning. Overcast with rain on and off all day. No problems on the road. Nice day, except for the dreary weather. Stopped for the night at the Flying J truck stop in Whiteland, Indiana.

My trailer lights decided to act up again. The amber lights along both sides stopped working.
At about 3 AM EST I went over to the shop and got them fixed. I was on the road at 5:30 AM. Drove to Concord, North Carolina and delivered the truck. Next load was just down the road in Charlotte. Drove over there and loaded another articulated dump truck. This one is a little bigger. It's a Volvo A40G Articulating Dump Truck that is going to De Forest, Wisconsin.
Left there and drove to the Flying J truck stop in Mt. Airy, North Carolina. Home of the fictional town of Mayberry.

Couldn't start when I wanted to this morning. Had to wait a bit so that I didn't get to Omaha before 9 AM. All through Iowa had snow flurries. When I got o Illinois, the snow stopped. Weird!! Anyway, drove to the Daily terminal in Morton, Illinois for the night. Dropped my trailer and went to Wal-Mart to restock. I was just about out of everything!!! Mt Dew was getting to crisis levels!!! Drove another 513 miles today in spite of the late start.
