At 2:30 AM, when my 10 hours were up, I left. Drove the rest of the way to Pompano Beach. Daily had a driver quit, so I was recovering the truck to take back to Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The truck was parked in a church parking lot. I got there and found the truck. I loaded the truck onto my trailer and secured it.
He took off the stack.
When he finished, I left. Of course, I got into bumper-to-bumper traffic in South Florida. Once I got out of there, it was fairly smooth sailing in heavy traffic until I got to St. Augustine. I was stuck in bumper-to-bumper, and slow-and-go traffic from there to Jacksonville. Took forever to get through that!!! I finally made it to the Daily terminal in Jacksonville. I'll be here for several days.

I left Marianna this morning and drove down to Panama City and delivered the wheel loader. They are under a Hurricane Warning, but the weather was fine while I was there. The hurricane is not supposed to get there until tomorrow morning. Anyway, I'm going down to Pompano Beach from here. One of our drivers quit, and I'm going to go pick up his truck and take it to Carlisle, PA. I drove down to a truck stop in Fort Pierce, Florida, for the night. Ran out of hours. 525 miles today.
There is a LOT of equipment headed toward the Florida Panhandle in preparation for the coming hurricane. Large convoys of power trucks, tree removal trucks, Emergency Management vehicles, search and rescue equipment, etc., are all on their way west.

I left at 2 AM EDT when my 10 hours were up. Drove the rest of the way to Charlotte, NC. I got there about an hour and a half before they opened, so I waited. When they opened, I delivered the excavator.
From there, I drove the three-hour drive to Clayton, NC, for my next load, a Caterpillar 926 Wheel Loader that is going to Panama City, Florida. Of course, I arrived just as they were going to lunch. When they got back from lunch, they loaded me.
I left there and went to the Petro truck stop in Kenly, North Carolina, for my 10 hours. 506 miles today.

I was at the Port of Baltimore this morning when they opened. Unfortunately, the proper paperwork that I needed (and requested last Friday) had not been sent to me yet. I waited 3 hours for it to finally come in. Then I loaded a Caterpillar 315 Excavator that is going to Charlotte, North Carolina.

Not starting off October very well. That Daily Truck Shop finished with my truck yesterday afternoon. This morning I took the truck over to Kenworth for some more work to be done. Then checked into the hotel. I have no idea how long I'll be there.

I left at about 3 AM EDT and drove the rest of the way to Mount Joy, PA and delivered the generator. My truck was due for some routine maintenance, and I needed to replace a worn trailer tire, so I went to the "home office" in Carlisle, PA. I have no idea how long I'll be there.

I left a half hour after sunrise this morning. Heavy traffic and some B2B traffic in Atlanta. Another busy morning at the Atlanta airport. Had 2 planes land over my head, then drove under one that was on the taxiway that goes over the Interstate. That is so cool when that happens. No problems in Nashville. Drove 535 miles to the TA truck stop in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, for the night. To top off a good day, I stuffed myself silly at the Chili's restaurant across the street from the truck stop tonight. I'll sleep good tonight!!!

This morning I went to the Port in Brunswick, Georgia and loaded a Caterpillar 320 Excavator that is going to Weston, Wisconsin.
I left there and drove to the TA truck stop in Jackson, Georgia, for the night. I stopped a bit early because there was a several-mile traffic backup in McDonough, GA that I didn't want to deal with today.

The crane was due to arrive at the job site at 9 AM. When I got there at 8:30, I had to back in off the road.
Then the other truck arrived with the generator that will eventually sit on top of the tank I brought. I moved out of his way so he could park where I was. I parallel parked off to the side. Then the crane arrived. I again moved out of its way so he and the support truck could get in. I jacked my truck into a small area just big enough to squeeze into.
Once the crane was set up, I backed in next to the crane, and they unloaded me.
From there, I drove to the Daily terminal in Jacksonville. Settled in for the rest of the day, watching some great SEC football.
